Ashtanga Yoga Mysore Style is the closest you can get to one on one instruction in a class setting. The teacher adjusts the series to fit the students current level and physical ability. Every student gets hands on adjustments and assistance.
The practice doesn't end after 6 weeks! The sky is the limit. The student can go as deep as they want into the practice and continue to work with the teacher for as long as they want.
This is a physical practice so come prepared to move but at your own pace. The 6 weeks just gives you a foundation. With steady and consistent attendance, the student slowly develops the stamina to do a full 90 minute practice which builds strength, tones the muscles, focuses and de-stresses the mind, and also heals and rehabilitates the body from common ailments and injuries.
All students will leave with a practice that can be done at home and print outs to help learn their sequence.
Perfect for all levels. Rather you want moving meditation, a strong workout or to learn cool yoga tricks to take your physical yoga practice to the next level, this class is for you.
What you need to know to attend: Students can show up anytime between 7:45AM & 8:45AM. Feel free to drop in one time and observe (not practice) for free. To ensure that the student has a good starting point for a personal Ashantga practice, they must sign up for 6 weeks. After first 6 weeks, student can choose to sign up for another 6 weeks. The benefit of practicing with the teacher never ends because new poses and techniques are added on as the student advances.
